Tangadan Falls | San Gabriel, La Union

My aunt visited by her singaporean friend and want to experience cliff diving to a water falls. Due to her limited time of vacation, we decided to bring her to a place near in Manila.

Tangadan Falls has now been added as another stop for the brave, adrenaline-junkies and courageous few.

Trekking: One hour trek going to the falls and one hour trek going back to the jump off. The trail was manageable for the experienced hikers and a little bit challenging for the beginners. The place is very scenic, you will also do a lot of river crossing.

Cliff diving: Unfortunately, they're not allowing people to jump at tangadan falls (45ft.) anymore due to accidents. Instead, there's an alternative cliff (20 ft. and 10ft.) at baroro river if you still want to do it.

Here are some tips...

• Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to get wet! 
• Appropriate footwear. The trail is very slippery.
• Umbrella/Malong to cover you from the sun!
• Sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.
• Camera. It's a must to document your trip! 
• Waterproof your things. Use dry bag or cover it with plastic.
• Remove all your jewelries. One of us lost her ring in the falls while swimming.
• WATER - stay hydrated! Though there are vendors in the area, you still need it in the trail. 
• Be safe and leave no trace! 😄

Fees:

Life vest - 50php

Balsa ride - 30php/head Registration fee - 30php

Guide fee - 1,200php maximum of 14pax.
